I see that today’s image is that of [Ruby Payne-Scott](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ruby_Payne-Scott), an Australian radio astronomer.

Is this the image in other countries today, or is it just Australia that’s getting it because of Payne-Scott’s nationality?

More broadly, does Google generally use the same image world-wide on any given day, or does it also tailor images to different jurisdictions?

They can be country specific, actually - this one’s only for google.com.au. [Here](http://www.google.com/doodles/finder/2012/All%20doodles)’s the archives.

I wonder if it’s state-specific as well? It’s still the 27th here and I see a doodle of the Golden Gate Bridge’s 75th anniversary (tomorrow will almost certainly be something Memorial Day related).

Just looked at them all, the more recent, the more esoteric.
