Okay, I _do_ have work to do, what’s your point?

Came across [this](http://www.cubbie.com/twickste.htm) while googling my username.

I’ve got $5 that says no one can top it.

Another reason I need to seriously consider changing my username. I don’t get any odd or cool sites with a search

I got what I expected: a bunch of links to Elvis Costello and/or retail sites.

5 whole hits, and not for anything cool, either.

Just stuff like [this](http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/nic/tansi/tansi.htm) and [this](http://www.glen-l.com/picboards/picboard8/pic466b.html). I didn’t expect any hits at all, but I guess I should have counted on the typos.

I get 216,000,000 hits. I’m sure there’s something cool in one of them. Finding it is going to take a while.

The second and third hits were for a review of the 2000 movie, “Romeo Must Die”.

The review was titled, “Kung Fu Shakespeare”.

But the really weird thing: the review was in the student newspaper of my college alma mater!

(Twilight Zone music…)

Plenty of hits, but #1 is interesting: [Tolerance, toxicity, and caloric availability of intravenously injected tapioca dextrin solution in rabbits.](http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=12999634&dopt=Abstract)

Lurking near the bottom of the first results page was some info about a guy by the name of [**Xenophanes of Colophon**](http://plato.stanford.edu/entries/xenophanes/). Now _that’s_ a name.

> [@](#):
>
> He was a travelling rhapsode who criticised the stories about the gods told by the poets, and he defended a novel conception of the divine nature.

Well, who among us hasn’t?

Meanwhile, in Google Images, [this](http://www.cfmgallery.com/artists/Bachelier/images/Colophon.jpg) was kind of odd, [this](http://www.rainwatersoft.com/cats/byron/pix/byron_4.jpeg) was less odd but cuter, and [this](http://www.annaliistruzione.it/colophon/immagini/colophon_r5_c2.gif) was quite cool, in an abstract sort of way.
