# GOP Presidential Debate

One moment I forgot to mention was when McCain was doing his tough-guy pose, leaning forward with shoulder hunched, promising that he’d follow Bin Laden to the Gates of Hell. All the while, completely incongruously, _smiling_. That was a little unsettling. McCain has the bad habit of smiling at the end of a sentence when he’s talking to the media, no matter the content of the sentence. I’ve seen him do this a couple of times now.
I thought Romney seemed likeable, polished, and just on the basis of charisma and likeability (which seem to be uncomfortably large factors in these contests), a real threat to Hillary if she’s the dem nominee (but less so Barack or John).

FYI: Brownback, Huckabee and Tancredo were the three who raised their hand for not beliving in evolution.
Actually only three out of ten is better then I would’ve thought.

Yeah. It’s better than what you’d find in the general population, too.
Sadly, this is going to be a common question for awhile. Non-Americans must really be puzzled that we have to ask that of our \*\*presidential \*\*candidates.

What’s the take on Ron Paul? Is the the Republican version of Kucinich, or is he a true free-thinking Republican? I am intrigued by his votes against the war on Iraq and the Patriot Act.
