He co-founded Intel and was the chairman for a time.

> In 1965, in what became known as [Moore’s Law](https://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/05/technology/moores-law-running-out-of-room-tech-looks-for-a-successor.html), he predicted that the number of transistors that could be placed on a silicon chip would double at regular intervals for the foreseeable future, thus increasing the data-processing power of computers exponentially.

> His prediction in the 1960s about rapid advances in computer chip technology charted a course for the age of high tech.

> Entropy is a scientific concept, as well as a measurable physical property, that is most commonly associated with a state of disorder, randomness, or uncertainty. The term and the concept are used in diverse fields, from classical thermodynamics, where it was first recognized, to the microscopic description of nature in statistical physics, and to the principles of information theory. It has found far-ranging applications in chemistry and physics, in biological systems and their relation to lif...

That equation is on the headstone of Dr. Boltzmann.
Referencing that is a nice way to honor Gordon Moore.
I assumed this would be mentioned in the wiki page, but I didn’t see it.
I agree with Stranger.
