Oh come on Sam. A difference of opinion as to the best candidate does not amount to “a major split.”

And if there is a “major split” as you say then why do so many Democrats on the street list (alternately) Dean/Clark or Clark/Dean as the dream ticket?

Here’s a thought: maybe voters and Democratic bigwigs alike are making principled choices about the candidates they think have the best ideas and/or the best chance to prevail in November.

(And by the way, it was Kerry who was the choice of the Democratic establishment this go-round. You see where that got him.)

:shrug: This must be a plot by the Clintons, because that’s the kind of people they are, which we know because they’re plotting this, which we know because that’s the kind of people they are, and it’s turtles all the way down, don’t you see? The longer the RW firebreathers stay in that fantasy world, the better for the Democratic candidate, whoever that is. Might as well let 'em.
