We have a poster named **Gorsnak**. I have noticed his/her posts in the past, but I wanted to single out one thread in particular where I really appreciated his/her presence. The [thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=206455&perpage=50) is here; if you don’t like GD-based **december** -heavy threads, you may not want to visit. **Gorsnak** , I don’t know if you’ll notice this, or if you’ll care, but I truly appreciate your posts in this thread. They are well-written and say what I would want to but so much better than I could. Thank you for your effort, and I hope that GD doesn’t wear you out as it has many others. ---

Forgive me, **Bambi** , but why wouldn’t an e-mail to **Gorsnak** (assuming that he/she has listed one… I didn’t check…) have sufficed for this? It’s not that I object to the thought of praising a particular poster for his/her contributions in any way, but more that a thread like this, based on a thread like that (Woo Hoo!) is likely to devolve into a political snit-fest. I, myself, even as I post this, am tempted to interpose here my own opinion on what **Gorsnak** and others had to say in that thread… Maybe I’m wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time.
