Jim Morrison would never wear that belt. Apart from that, it seems pretty watertight. ---

Someone here posted to a link to an excerpt from a book detailing the last days of Morrison and how his widow kept his body packed in ice for a couple of days, just so she could cuddle with him for a little longer. Another Doper posted an encounter he once had with someone who not only _looked_ like Morrison, but was _named_ James Douglas Morrison, was _born_ on the same day as Morrison, and even had a birth certificate which indicated that he’d been born in the same county as Morrison. In short, everything pointed to this guy being “the” Jim Morrison, even though he wasn’t. Morrison has/had siblings, so DNA evidence of him being the real thing is possible. (His parents may still be alive as well.) ---

If Morrison were alive, he’d be 64 tomorrow (Dec. 8). Wonder if he’d still be touring, or a washed-up recovering addict, or what. Maybe he’d have his own variety show on Canadian tv and do Christmas specials. ---

If Morrison were really alive, we would have known about it years ago. The man’s ego was too big for him to remain anonymous for any length of time. Same with Elvis.
