When the moment of truth came for naming our son, my wife confessed that she didn’t want to name him Frank The Fifth, even if we called him Quinn as a full-time nickname. Her reasoning is that Frank is an old man’s name.
My childhood best friend was named Harold. We both had nicknames that followed us through life that had no relation to our first names. We’ve often joked that we had old-man names as kids. (He changed his name, I just ahem grew into it a little earlier than expected).
So there it is. Frank. Or Harold.
