I got my 5 tickets. I wonder if [Realtor.com](http://Realtor.com) sees an uptick in traffic when these jackpots get this high. My wife and daughter have been perusing the million- dollar homes near us for the past hour. ---

Got my ticket, and My Beloved and I already know what we would do with it-Get a large place with an ocean view on the Southern Oregon/Northern California coast and run a private bed and breakfast place. Family and friends could book a week-long vacation on our tab, once a year. We would give to various charities as we saw fit, and give occasional waaaay over the top gifts to people. ---

I think I’ve said this before, but on the selfish side, we’ll become 5-star hotel nomads. Spend a month in NYC, then Rome, then Paris, and on and on. Have to be careful not to spend more than six months in the (something) zone per year, but I’ll have someone advise me on that. I will never cook or clean or shop or run any kind of “have-to” errand again. I’ll offer each of our doctors a 100K bonus if our appointments start EXACTLY as scheduled. I We’ll travel only by private jet/limousine. We’ll see every play and concert we want, in the best seats. Maybe I’ll pay for them to film a new season of Firefly, retaining final script approval. Pure hedonism. And I’ll give a ton of money to some favorite charities, 'cause at my age there’s no way I’ll even make a dent in the money no matter how self-indulgent I become. ---

If we won the big prize, I’d start a foundation. I think I could be a philanthropist, a kick-ass philanthropist! I would have all this money and people would love me. Then they would come to me and beg. And if I felt like it, I would help them out. And then they would owe me big time! ---

When you have a billion dollars, “running” a bed and breakfast just means hiring somebody to hire all the other people while you sit on the balcony and drink mimosas with the guests. ---

Yes. Just bought three of them. Triples my chances of losing. I’m 70 and in reasonably good health, despite having had cancer. At my age, I would travel. And travel. And travel. Everywhere I’ve ever wanted to go. Nice to dream, isn’t it? ---

Please reread what I wrote- a private bed and breakfast, friends and family only, one or two at a time because we would only get a place with a couple of extra bedrooms. It would be like having friends over to stay the week, rotating all year long. ---

Well I guess you can criticize my reading comprehension, but inviting friends and family to stay at your place when you feel like it (for free) is just living in a normal home, it’s not “running a private bed and breakfast”. ---

I participated in a group lottery buy at work… it was weekly, at least, and more often when the jackpots got to over $1 billion. I hated it, $20 each round. But I couldn’t stomach the thought of them winning and me kicking myself for the rest of my life so I participated.
