Thia video showcases the capabilities of GPT-4o. It can chat, sing, converse with other AIs, describe and give opinions on images, work as a translator, teach math, and much more. Its bubbling with personality, but maybe a little over the top with that. “Hey AI, you’re looking at me right now. Can you describe what I look like?” “I see that you’re overcompensating for your early-onset male pattern baldness by wearing a ridiculously hipstery black leather jacket indoors.” Only when there’s an exchange like that will I be convinced that AI has truly become human-like. ETA: Apologies if that came off a little snarky. I fear and am fascinated by AI in equal measure. ---

Ignoring the over the top personality, which I’m sure can be toned down, this is amazing. We are entering a whole new world. Real time conversational translation is ground-breaking, as is being the eyes for a blind person.
