# Graffiti in Baghdad

Here is an interesting article about the graffiti people have written in Baghdad. It’s very fascinating, and I think it gives some nice insights into how Iraqis feel.

Some examples I thought amusing:

SADDAM WILL RETURN!  
And written underneath:  
THROUGH MY ASS!

CHALABI IS THE ENGINEER OF DEMOCRACY  
And underneath is written:  
ZIONISTS SAID THAT!

LONG LIVE SADDAM, IN SPITE OF HIS FOOL CRAZIES!  
And underneath is written:  
SADDAM IS A PIMP; ASK YOUR SISTER!

PATIENCE, BAGHDAD, PATIENCE, SADDAM IS COMING BACK SOON  
And underneath is written:  
TO FINISH OFF WHAT REMAINS OF THE IRAQI PEOPLE OR TO FUCK YOUR MOTHER?

DO YOU WANT TO BE A KING? JUST EATING AND SHITTING AND GETTING PAID? JUST BE AN OFFICER IN THE IRAQI ARMY THEN—Written on the walls of the Military Academy in Rustamiyah

SADDAM SWALLOWED ALL THE PRICKS OF THE WORLD, AND HE STILL SAID HE WAS VICTORIOUS

That is an interesting article.

[Here](http://dear_raed.blogspot.com/) is where I go for an Iraqi pov, and it makes for much more interesting reading than the pablum we get on the “news” channels nowadays.

I enjoy reading [Zeyad’s blog](http://healingiraq.blogspot.com/) – he strikes me as very intelligent, thoughtful, and honest. There are several excellent Iraqi bloggers, some very pro-war, some very anti-war.

Actually it is a really cool site, and to see that people are pretty much the same all over the world
