Grammar Question Good vs. Well

Aaaargh: I mean “… despite its use …”. :smack: (How to lose credibility in a discussion of grammar).

I used to wonder if the correct response to “How are you doing?” was “good” or “well”. Then I decided that the question itself was grammatically faulty.

I am here to report that Fly A reached the finish line in 10.9 seconds, and Fly B in 11.3 seconds, while Fly C took off in a different direction entirely and was lost to view within 2.6 seconds.

God, isn’t this fun!!!

The typical response to this question is something like, “Just going to the store for a few things.” :slight_smile:
