Nah, she uses it all the time, for any question that she doesn’t know the answer to. She grew up as a tomboyish farmgirl in the extremity of rural Michigan, both geographically and culturally speaking, so there’s no telling where she picked it up.

She also–annoyingly–when you ask her what time it is, if she doesn’t know, she’ll say, very fast, “Half-past-kissin’-time/time-to-kiss-again”, which drives me CRAZY. Why the HELL doesn’t she just say, “I don’t know”?
