> LSL didn’t find it either. “Repeletron” comes up with unrelated stuff. Plugging in repeletron Tom Swift, however, [gives links](https://www.google.com/search?q=Repelatron+tom+swift) to the slightly different correct spelling, repel_ **a** _tron.

I plead guilty to going from unaugmented memory. “Repeletron” looked not quite right, so I swapped it to “repelotron” which looked worse. So I went with my first guess, despite misgivings.

You “repelatron” was instantly recognizable as the right thing. That’s what I get for being trying to be a quick-draw smartass.

I recall a “repelatron skyway” superhighway across trackless jungles to open up distant villages to modern commerce. And a repelatron spaceship that was a 2 or 3 story cube inscribed in an interlocking array of circular I-beams with many little parabolic dishes riding on cars on the I-beam. Just move the dishes to face where you want to leave, turn on the repelatron, and awaaaay we goooo!!! Exclaiming repulsively all the while. Of course.
