Feel sorry for me, my MOTHER is my hairdresser! You think she listens to instructions? She believes woman over 30 should not have long hair (no I don’t know why. It’s just a rule according to her). My hair is currently half way down my back and it is driving her nuts. I am scared she may break into my house in the middle of the night just to cut it. :eek: ---

My Hubby insists on getting the cheapest haircuts possible, with fairly disastrous results. And yet he returns, again and again. I suggested to him that he might improve his appearance by acquiring the services of someone for whom cutting hair is a chosen vocation, rather than a way of earning the money with which to purchase video games. ---

When I used to go to cheap places, I always found that they were willing to follow instructions, whereas the expensive places were bound to give you something “special” for your money. Now my mom’s the only one I allow to cut the length of my hair. My only problem with her is getting her to cut enough off. I handle the bangs myself, and quite well, too, since I took ten years of trial and error learning how. Tip: Don’t cut your hair when you are angry! Also not if you are sad, drunk, tired, late, sick, have someone banging on the bathroom door, or expect to go anyplace important within the next few days. ---

Wow, I can see that I’ve been pretty lucky when it comes to haircuts. I’ve been going to the same barbershop all my life. I usually wait for the same barber as well. I sit in the chair and he asks me if I want the same, I reply, “yes”, and he cuts it the way I like. Sometimes it’s a little too long and I have to return in three weeks or so, but it comes out pretty good. Hey, I just realized that this is likely my first post in the pit, so…fuck! ---

It’s OK though, because she cut a huge hole in another part of my head, so it sort of evened out, in a non-symmetrical kind of way. Fuck it. I’m going back to Pablo. Pablo treat you berry good. I am convinced it is a prerequisite that all professional (and I use that term loosely) hair stylists have either board straight hair or believe that all hair must be cut as _if_ it were board straight. Last time I got my hair cut at a salon, I cried. Seriously. I had to straighten it before leaving the house for 2 weeks. And trust me, it’s no party straightening really curly hair. I’m not talking wavy here, i’m talking _curly_. It still looked horrifically bad after two weeks, but at least I was able to leave the house without having to spend a couple hours straightening it. That was about two years ago. Haven’t set foot in a salon since. I’ll just keep the long hair, thanks. Apparently, I am destined to have hair sans any actual _style_. In all of my 26 years, I have yet to recieve a decent haircut. _Ever_. ☹ ---

I’ve gotten my hair cut at great clips since I was 19 and I’ve never had a bad haircut. If they make a big mistake… _ **DON’T PAY FOR IT!!!** _ Should I add some more exclamation points? DO NOT PAY FOR IT! This isn’t hard. ---

My regular hairdresser is on vacation and I couldn’t wait any longer. So the idiot inside my head said, “why not just get a cheap cut this time - how bad can it get?” :smack: :smack: Apparently, it can get **bad**. It was also only 20% cheaper.
