In Montreal for some reason we don’t go for punning drag queen names, although you do see one from time to time – I think my favourite was Sophie Stickée. I second the LOL at Helvetica Bold. Anyway, I’d like to offer _Cherry Jubilee, Ophelia Coxwell,_ and _Dorothy Pecker_. ---

A trove of excellent names can be found at the site of the [Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence](http://www.thesisters.org/meet.html). I used to know one, but I can’t remember what his/her name is/was. I don’t know whether they consider themselves drag queens, but I believe the names fit the bill. [Here’s their homepage.](http://www.thesisters.org/) They’re a very cool organization. ---

One of the VJs in a Spanish music TV channel used to be a drag queen that went by the name Deborah Ombres. Shift over the h, switch the b to a v and you get Ma Neater. I didn’t particularly like her as a presenter, but it’s been years and I’m still trying to decide whether the name gives me the rolleyes or the giggles. ---

If I was going to be a drag queen (as a girl, little chance of that!), I’d be Connie Lundqvist. ---

My friend Devin came up with a fantastic one today: _Miranda Warning_. He also insisted I mention _Felicia Jollygoodfellow_ from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, and tells me there’s a queen in Winnipeg called _Venetia Blinds_. I got into a real-people riff and came up with _Ellen DeGenerate, Katharine Heartburn,_ and _Camilla Parker-Carrs_, but maybe that’s cheating. Then there’s _Diane Gotoheaven_. ---
