The Taming Of The Shrew (Shakespeare’s original play, and any production made of it). She’s an uncontrollable bitch. He’s a controlling, abusive asshole. Yet somehow it’s Twoo Wuvvvv by the end.

As Good As It Gets, with Helen Hunt and Jack Nicholson. Doesn’t quite meet the “toxic” definition - but the two people truly dislike each other through much of the film and yet they wind up “together” because some Hollywood moron decided they had to (and the hell with all the other personal growth they both experienced through the movie).
