I’m going to be the third person to say Mistlethwait(sp?) from The Secret Garden. It was the first thing I thought when I saw this thread. I tear up every time I watch it. By the way: the book? Not as good. It turns into “Collins Story” by the end and Mary is totally forgotten. I would also LOVE to live in Discworld of Terry Prattchet fame. ---

Nothing special about it, but I used to live in Racine, as in the Racines Bells from A League of Her Own. Also I grew up in Whitefish Bay, WI. Just a block or two from where parts of Major League were filmed. ---

The **house on top of Mt. Rushmore** , _North by Northwest_ The **NCC-1701-D** Touring the ruins of Tezuka’s **Metropolis** might be fun. The **houseboat** from _Sleepless in Seattle_ would be nice to live in. **The Pit** from _G.I. Joe_ would be fun to visit. **Duloc** from _Shrek_ seems like a nice place to visit. Aside from the fact that you’d probably get murdered by a Gestapo if you blinked the wrong way. **Halloweentown** from _Nightmare before Christmas_. An escort might be wise, though. **Heaven** , from _What Dreams may Come_. The entry charge is a killer, tho’… ---

I think I may be first with this, but to live in Orthanc, Moria or Barad’dur from LOTR would be pretty cool. Also Arrakis from Dune would be pretty good.
