# Great TV Theme Music...but Lousy Show

I’m not sure if this counts because there aren’t lyrics, but hear me out. The Hawaii 5O theme for the remake. The remake was ridiculous. I vaguely remember the original series. I hope the theme song did the original series justice.

Was the show any good? I have no idea. But you can’t beat the theme song.

I was always a sucker for the 60s shows that had bouncy themes with expository material built into them. _Gilligan’s Island_ was a prime example, but I also liked the themes from _Captain Nice_, _Mr. Terrific_, and _The Double Life of Henry Phyfe_.

Of course, now that I think about it, at least half of those shows from the 60s told you everything you needed to know about the show before we heard a word of dialogue.

_ **SWAT** _ was what Ted Baxter wanted to watch while at one of Mary’s parties on _ **MTM** _. 'Nuff said.

At least Kono was a dude in the original, and not some hot babe. 🥺
