If this woman has other options right now, please make them known. I think Sharia law is ridiculous, and I doubt that I would last very long in Saudi Arabia. Women get the shaft in almost every possible way in SA, but they _are_ increasingly well-educated. As of 2015 female college students ( including those studying abroad ), now outnumber men overall. It’s still unequal of course - you have separate women’s colleges and female graduate students can find themselves forced to interact with male professors via video. But among the trends that might fundamentally change Saudi society, a better-educated underclass will not be least among them. ---

Well, it looks like German Defence Minister Ursula von der Leyen grew some balls recently and [refused to wear](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/nintchdbpict000288012531.jpg?w=960&strip=all) that stupid shit Saudis demand women to wear during a visit to Saudi Arabia. Merkel also called for burka [to be banned](http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/germany-burqa-burka-ban-veils-angela-merkel-cdu-muslims-speech-refugee-crisis-elections-term-vote-a7458536.html) , although, personally, I think Merkel is just doing that to get elected, she’s a liberal scumbag of the highest degree, just like Hillary Clinton, whose reaction to Saudis’ medieval demands [speaks for itself](http://www.iranpoliticsclub.net/library/english-library/obama-benghazi/images/Hillary%20Clinton%20Muslim%20Hijab%20Fashion.jpg). The poster wasn’t discussing flavors. She was discussing how sharia law is applied. For example, Turkey is Muslim-majority, but have more of a secular system vs Saudi Arabia where sharia plays a dominant role. There are also mixed systems where sharia law is not dominant, but plays a significant role in the nation’s legal system. ---
