Man, the 80s must have really sucked if cartoons like those are considered great. Even the best of them were never more than striving to be mediocre – and usually couldn’t get up to that level. ---

I can’t believe nobody’s mentioned Hong Kong Phooey. Now that I think of it, that may have been the 70’s, but I _watched_ it in the 80’s, dammit. USA Cartoon Express was my friend. ---
