1. Marian, because she is TEH SEXEAH!!!
2. Vitani, because she is also TEH SEXEAH!!!
3. King Louie, because he represents a deep insight into the human condition; he’s not _evil_, in that he wishes harm to come to Mowgli or anyone else, but is still prepared to behave in a manner inconsistent with natural justice (if such a concept is valid in the first place) to achieve his own personal goals.

Damn, how could I forget King Louie! He should have been in my original list.

It’s funny to watch footage of Louis Prima in concert. He’s exactly as goofy in person.

Another vote for Kronk here. Comic relief at its finest. My favorite was the scene in the restaurant.

Waitress: Ordering. Three pork combos, extra bacon on the side, two chili cheese samplers, a basket of liver and onion rings, a catch of the day, and a steak cut in the shape of a trout. You got all that, honey?
Kronk: Three oinkers wearing pants, plate of hot air, basket of Grandma’s breakfast and change the bull to a gill, got it.

Mickey Mouse, for his plucky and subversive effort to undermine the philosophy of the Nazi regime. I read an anecdote somewhere that, even after Mickey’s films and comics had been banned in Germany, Adolf Hitler was still compulsively viewing smuggled-in cartoon reels of Mickey’s antics. Along with everything else going on during the war, Hitler also had to cope with the shame of being secretly unable to resist the American mouse’s allure, a fact which must surely have gnawed at him. Combined with the stress of the Russian campaign and his escalating drug addiction, it may well have been the devastating cognitive dissonance induced by his secret mouse fetish that led to Hitler’s rapid decline during the final months of the war. Any cartoon character that could mind-control Hitler has to have mad psychic powers to rival Rasputin. In fact, I’m sort of afraid to vote for anyone other than Mickey. He’s cute and all, but still you have to figure there’s a reason he’s in charge.

Kronk is awesome.

But I think my top choice is between Maleficent and Sebastian. I know, I’m choosing between the villain and the lovable sidekick, but it’s just so haaard.

Okay, fine. Sebastian the crab.

Have you ever seen **Education for Death**? It’s a Disney short from during the war that shows step by step in chilling detail how a little German boy grows into a Nazi soldier. The final shot is rows and rows of goose-stepping legs that melt away into a field of tombstones … .

1. Stitch. Because he’s not the irrepressible free spirit with a heart of gold like the ads made him out to be; he’s really a total bastard for most of the movie.

2. Ron Stoppable. Because Kim is a great character and all, but Ron is basically The Dude from _The Big Lebowski_ as a teenager, in cartoon form, without all the pot.

3. Kronk. Because Patrick Warburton is a total bad-ass, simple as that.

Good god, how to choose?

There’s the Holy Trinity of **Mickey, Donald,** and **Goofy,** of course.

[**Gadget Hackwrench**](http://www.fantasykat.com/ch/dg/gadgeth.html), because…well, if I have to explain her, it just loses all meaning.

**Scrooge McDuck,** because he’s taught us the lesson that hard work, cleverness, and perserverance can give us life’s greatest joy…the miserly hoarding of hundreds of thousands of square yards of gold coins, which you can dive into and swim around in like Mammon’s goddamn jacuzzi. That, and he’s kept Alan Young in work since the Reagan administration.

And…what, no _Gargoyles_ characters, yet?

\*\*Kronk \*\*gets another vote here. _Emperor’s New Groove_ rocks, plain and simple, and it has one of the most hilariously bizarre “making of” stories in movie history, to boot.

**Gaston’s** song is the best bad guy theme song ever written.

And because he’s technically a Disney character, although not an animated one, **Jack Sparrow** (excuse me, Captain Jack Sparrow) is the funniest, most original character to come out of any Disney studio in the past decade.

I just have to break in here and say that I love **The Emperor’s New Groove** , too–in the scene where they’re about to go over the waterfall, and the llama gets this grim, determined, look and says “Bring it on,” I just about die laughing.

The part where the llama gets annoyed with Pacha and wants to pick the next potion: “Don’t you say a word.”
That’s the part that makes me wet myself. 🙂

Goofy, Donald and Micky.

Goofy sports movies are still hysterical.

Donald is so in touch with his anger that I’m jealous.

Mickey is the everyman hero of the cartoon world. Sort of the animated John Cusack.

[Sora.](http://littleaeyaoki0.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/245745.jpg) Just kidding. Kinda.

Aladin was great. Clever, had a monkey sidekick, and he tells children to take their clothes [off](http://www.snopes.com/disney/films/aladdin.htm). Gotta love that. Jafar was bad-ass, but Scar is by far the best Disney villian ever.

Who’s Kronk?

Can I add a couple more?

- Duchess and O’Malley (and maybe Berlioz and Toulouse) from _The Aristocats_, my very first favorite movie. I became a kindergarten jazz fan because of that movie. 🙂

- Miss Bianca, from _The Rescuers_, which was a great book series by Margery Sharp before it was a Disney movie.

- Malificent.
