Greatest Final Episode of a Television Series...

That’s right! I should have remembered that. I actually felt a little sorry for Leno for having to try to get any meaningful responses from the drunk cast

<nitpick>

“The Deconstruction of Falling Stars” aired because they knew they were going to be back for Season 5.

J. Michael Straczynski’s plans were that if there was no 5th season, “Sleeping in Light” would be the last episode of Season 4 and the last episode of the series.

whew There. Had to balance my opening and closing tags.

But I think we should all wait to see how the final episode of “Providence” is. … :wink:

And it seemed that everyone watched the final episode of The Fugitive (first one). It was one of the few episodes where Dr. Richard Kimble doesn’t try to get an odd job to make ends meet.

Hawaii Five-O, when Steve McGarrett finally captured Wo Fat.

I enjoyed the last episode of Roseanne, where almost everything that happened turned out to be part of her book.

Chalk up another one for Blackadder goes forth. Absolute brilliance.

Heh. Yeah. They were smashed. I think the Tonight Show aired at its regular time that evening, so the cast was REALLY smashed.

I thought it ironic that after the show was over, Cheers showed us all what REAL drunks look like!
All in all, though, it was one of the highest rated Tonight Shows of all time.

Additionally, wasn’t the point that …

Over the four series of Blackadder Baldrick continually had some trully appalling “cunning plans”. Right at the end he came up with a plan involving a big splinter on the ladder that would be used to go over the top. The plan would have worked but Blackadder, forever putting Baldrick down, chose to ignore him and was instead mown down in nomansland.

It has been a wee while since I have seen it though.
