You should quit, because it’s easy to find another job, making more money, working closer to home, and working with supportive people. My own personal favorite is in the ad: “Competitive Salary.” Competitive to whom? China? ---

You should take this 2 week Gizmo Assistant class. It’s only $200, and once you get your GAC certificate you can get a job ANY WHERE YOU WANT. You can practically write your own paycheck! ---

Your manager will help you build your career. At no point will he cut your legs out from under you to save his own ass, and cripple your career with that business… Also, you can get hired at a company, and work there for life. A big company is like a family, and they will look out for you. ---

My favourite: The customer is always right. I work in software support and 90% of the time they are either wrong, (unintentionally) lying or don’t know enough to know what they want. My job is to KEEP them happy. Making them happy by giving them what they (think they) want today will just make them miserable in the future.
