Mendeleev and Euclid have been Evicted from Scientists’ Island. We must now gradually prune the Top Ten list, ultimately to select the Greatest Scientist Ever. \*\*Round Ten is over. Round Eleven will end about 11:40 pm EST on Monday, February 5. Top vote-getters are Linnaeus : 4-1 Pasteur : 4 Faraday : 2 Although he has a Keep vote, Linnaeus appears very high on the lists of those voting to evict. If there’s no change in the next 3½ hours, then Linnaeus and Pasteur will be ousted. ---

Louis Pasteur and Carolus Linnaeus are evicted from the Island \*\*Round Eleven is over. To build suspense we’ll hold Round Twelve open until Friday morning, February 9. Round Twelve will end today as originally scheduled.** _ The present voting is: Faraday : 4 Archimedes : 4 Copernicus : 2 Maxwell : 2-1 In the absence of new votes, Faraday will go off as #8 (due to tie-breaking), Archimedes will go off as #7.
