That’s very kind of you, and if I manage to lever my family members off the computer where I stored my obscurer scientists notes at any time this evening, I will certainly take you up on it!

Players are still too stuffed with turkey to vote?
Deadline is in 8 hours.

Honestly, this is hard to get my head around. FWIW, here’s a couple of lists of scientists:
After, reading about the germ theory of disease, I’m disappointed that nobody nominated (((John Snow))) one of the fathers of epidemiology and the data scientist who established that cholera wasn’t due to miasma, but rather filthy water.
Along the same lines I nominate (((Louis Pasteur))) for the top 10 list.
And, reversing myself above, I vote:
Keep Leeuwenhoek, Antonie van
@ Measure for Measure: You’re entitled to eight Evict votes if you want them, along with two Keeps. Just to double-check I have you down as this:
I keep old votes pending unless they are explicitly rescinded, so Measure for Measure’s vote, rescinding his old votes, had a big effect. Hilleman is out of the hot seat, replaced by Poincare and Al-Biruni. The current counts are now:
Al-Biruni, Abu Rayhan Muhammad : 3
Berzelius, Jacob : 3
Poincare, Henri : 3
Wegener, Alfred : 3
Bernard, Claude : 2
Borlaug, Norman : 2
Galen, of Pergamon : 2
Jenner, Edward : 2
Mach, Ernst : 2
Michelson, Albert : 2
Pauli, Wolfgang : 2
Ptolemy : 2
Schrodinger, Erwin : 2
Hilleman, Maurice : 3-1 = 1.99
Tesla, Nicolai : 3-1 = 1.99
Leakey, Louis : 2-1 = 0.99
Meitner, Lise : 3-2 = 0.99
Leeuwenhoek, Antonie van : 1-2 = -1
Franklin, Benjamin : 1-4 = -3
**Elimination Round #10 is over.
The next Vote-counting Elimination will be on Friday, Dec. 1 at about 2 pm EST.
For the next round each player has nine votes total: seven Evict votes, one Keep vote, and a ninth vote which can be spent as either Evict or Keep.**
There are now just 58 scientists remaining on the list. To reduce clutter I’ll just show the latest deletions:
[del]Al-Biruni, Abu Rayhan Muhammad - natural philosophy[/del] 11/29
[del]Berzelius, Jacob - chemistry[/del] 11/29
[del]Poincare, Henri - math[/del] 11/29

Voting for this round ends in 4 hours and a half. Currently these scientists have 2 or more votes:
Borlaug, Norman : 3
Galen, of Pergamon : 3
Jenner, Edward : 3
Mach, Ernst : 3
Michelson, Albert : 3
Schrodinger, Erwin : 3
Bernard, Claude : 2

We’ll want to take a long break for the Holidays, but I suppose we should keep going for at least another week. Thoughts?

Since nobody I named was eliminated in this latest round, consider Post #216 my vote for Monday’s deadline. I’ll suggest keeping the regular schedule through Dec. 18 and resuming the game Jan. 3, but I should be able to participate regardless of the timing of the break.
This is what I do by default anyway. (In fact that’s the only reason we have as many votes down as we do, despite low participation.)
