Greatest Three Episode Run of a TV Series

“Trilogy” was my second choice, but these three were more powerful television. And, yes, that should be Part II

Excellent choice.

How about the Hawaii 5-0 trilogy “V for Vashon” about a French crime family.

  • V for Vashon: the Son

V for Vachon: The Father

V for Vachon: The Patriarch
*

Harold Gould plays the father, about a year before he was Kid Twist in The Sting

I think this is almost certainly correct. 1.08-1.10 and 4.01-4.03 are also pretty good.

I’ll go with Justice League /JLU:

Question Authority
Flashpoint
Panic in the Sky
Divided We Fall

OK, here I go. Star Trek:TOS

The Enemy Within
Mudd’s Women
What Are Little Girls Made Of

Worthy competitor

Metamorphosis
Journey to Babel
Friday’s Child

“Delocated” Season 2 had a run of some of the funniest episodes of any comedy, ever:

-Dog Mayor
-Mixer
-Jon He Does It
-Mole
-Kim’s Krafts

Pick any consecutive 3 out of that list.

See, to my way of thinking, if you’ve got City On The Edge Of Forever on the one hand and Amok Time on the other, you accept Operation: Annihilate.

Person of Interest

The Cold War
If-Then-Else
Control-Alt-Delete

Underrated show and this probably represents the best of what it could do.

The Simpsons would be tough. During their best seasons, they would have an outstanding episode surrounded by merely very decent ones so an argument could be made for a lot. I’m going to go with Season 6:

Itchy and Scratchy Land
Sideshow Bob Roberts
Treehouse of Horror V

Twin Peaks:
Lonely Souls
Drive With a Dead Girl
Arbitrary Law

Leland/BOB killing Maddy was one of the best murder scenes in history. The death of Leland was horrific yet strangely peaceful at the same time. Great stuff here.

Seinfeld:

The Opera
The Virgin
The Contest

Some of the best Elaine in there.

The West Wing, Season 4

“Debate Camp”
“Game On”
“Election Night”

Thirded.

Good choice. I’d also recommend the last four episodes of the series.

It depends on whether your idea of a perfect view is three beautiful mountains next to each other, or two of the most majestic mountains in the world separated by the most run-down strip club at the emptiest exit of the most boring Interstate highway in the U.S. No matter how much you like driving fast when there are no cops around, and how much you like strippers, you have to admit it spoils the view.

Season 3, Episode 13: Wine, Women and Aunt Esther
Season 3, Episode 14: Mama’s Baby, Papa’s Maybe
Season 3, Episode 15: Fred Sanford, Legal Eagle.

Mystery Science Theater 3000, Season 8:

810: The Giant Spider Invasion
811: parts: the clonus horror
812: Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies

Agents of SHIELD, Season 4:
Self Control
What If
Identity and Change

(I would dearly love to include No Regrets, but not at the expense of including Self Control.) Really, the entire back half of that season is incredible. (I would also accept Season 1: Turn, Turn, Turn; Providence; The Only Light in the Darkness)

jaycat, just a WAG here, but are you talking about Sanford and Son?
