Love it if it’s French cut green beans, cream of mushroom sauce, a little bacon pieces and those onion ring things baked on top.
Love the GBC, and I know I’ll be eating it tomorrow. My family has a long tradition of cooking from cans and boxes.
My stepdad used to make a similar green bean dish that was also quite palatable. It was French cut green beans with cheese and bacon bits. I don’t know just what the “cheese” was though…is there a such thing as cheese soup in a can?
We will also be served sweet potato casserole with marshmallows on top, and that I *won’t *be eating, for it is an abomination. I could cry when I think of all those wasted years when I thought I hated sweet potatoes, and it turns out I just hate marshmallow casserole.
The green beans and fried onions sound good, but there’re mushrooms in there…eww.
Psst! You don’t have to use cream of mushroom!
Yeah, Campbell’s makes a cheddar cheese soup.
Everybody but me. One of the reasons I like green bean casserole is the comforting mushiness of it all; water chestnuts add an unwelcome crunch.
Huh. Yesterday, green bean casserole seemed inviting, but today it seems revolting. I wonder how I’ll feel tomorrow.
Are you pregnant? Try ginger tea, it’ll help with the nausea.
I’ve heard of it, but have never actually seen it. It seems kind of pointless, like there’s a major ingredient missing (like a BLT).
