Anybody know where this is from? This was my old housemate’s favorite catchphrase. Whenever it was his turn to make dinner for the group he invariably cooked up these greasy, super-cheap, brand-X fish sticks (Jolly Chef’s Special Recipe Breaded Fish Fingers. Ask for them by name!) and would dance about the place spouting that. For some reason I think it’s a quote from “Battlestar Galactic”. Anyone…? ---

I thought it was “Fish, and plankton, and sea greens. Protein from the sea. It’s all here. And then it stopped coming, and they came instead. So I store them here… It’s my _job_ to _freeze_ you!” But I could be wrong. ---

I’m guessing you have it right Johnny. I suspect my memory has been impaired by mercury poisioning from the cheap-O fish sticks. ---

Actually the scene is a little longer than that. _Logan’s Run_ is a good 1970s SciFi movie, BTW. You have Richard Jordan before he got dead, Roscoe Lee Brown as a robot, Peter Ustinov reciting _The Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats_, and Jenny Agutter nekkid. ---

I always liked that movie. Anyone else out there think that the city Logan was from was Baltimore? I mean, they escape from the domes, and the next day get to Washington, D.C. What else could it be? Anyway, gotta go, it’s my time on carousel. ---

Damn, I wish I got to this thread sooner. That line from “Logan’s Run” has always been one of my favorites. I’ve only seen the movie once or twice, so I make it up as I go along… besides, it’s all in the inflection, not the words. The one thing that that I can add that has not been mentioned is the cool name of the silvery robot that utters the line: Box. ---

I must’ve watched _Logan’s Run_ a hundred times just to catch the scene that is the OP. As soon as I read those words, I instantly pictured Jenny stripping out of that green pillow case and into the fur. And a good part of it was filmed in Dallas and Fort Worth. The interior of the domed city is the Dallas Apparel Mart! ---

Logan’s Run. From the cyborg(?) in the ice chamber. Great movie. Great book. Lousy series.
