But does anyone have any reference to any calendar that officially uses that convention?

As Poole’s article explains in some detail, that was not what happened. The 1751 Act had anticipated this problem and included specific provisions to protect the rights of tenants. Clause VI of the Act made it clear that ‘nothing in this present Act contained shall extend, or be construed to extend, to accelerate or anticipate the Time of Payment of any Rent or Rents, Annuity or Annuities, or Sum or Sums of Money whatsoever…’. Part of Poole’s point is that as this was therefore not an actual grievance, it is unlikely to have been the cause of any riots.
