Really? Wow. What a true legend. Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird and his reporter in Roman Holliday are two of my favorite characters ever… Thanks for good time, Mr. Peck. ---

I never know what to say to these kinds of news. Its so sad to lose such a great person. He has given so much of his talent and life for us to enjoy. so very sad. ---

He was quite a talent. I will always think of “Scout? Scout?” when he is mentioned. His sensative yet powerful portrayal of different protaganists through the ages has left a lasting mark in filmdom. A standard to reach for. So long, old friend… ☹ ---

Lets all post a favorite character that Gregory Peck played in honor of his lifes achievments. I loved him as Douglas MacArthur. His performance was brilliant and so moving. He made a great man come back to life for us in the screen. Great movies I enjoyed because of him: The Omen To Kill a Mockingbird Guns of Navarone The Horatio Hornblower story Many Thanks, Mr Peck. ---

Gregory Peck is one of my all-time favorite actors. I saw him speak a few years ago, and his voice was still rich and deep. Of course, his portrayal of Atticus Finch is a classic, but he was very good playing Ambrose Bierce in Gringo Viejo, too. Goodbye, Greg. And thanks for all the wonderful movies! ---

I juuuuuuust re-read “To Kill A Mockingbird” the other day and was thinking about who could possibly recapture the magic of Gregory Peck’s performance if they ever got it in their heads to remake the movie. No one, I concluded. Peck’s performance in that movie was as inimitable as he. He’ll be missed. ---
