The new season starts tomorrow night – so excited! I love ending my week with a little wesen action. Hope they resolve the zombie thing soon – fine for a season-ending cliffhanger, but the wrong direction for the show, IMHO. ---

If Nick is a zombie for more than two, three episodes, I’m going to get annoyed. I enjoy the hell out of this show, but the whole Juliette plot last year made me want to throttle everybody on the screen. Alas, I have to go out of town tomorrow and I probably won’t be able to watch the episode until Sunday or Monday, but at least now I have the thread subscription. 🙂 ---

Agreed, I’m not interested in Zombie Nick. I was hoping that they would wrap that up in the season premiere, but considering the way they dragged out Juliette’s amnesia, I now think I might have been too optimistic. But what I’m really excited to see is Monroe and Rosalee get married. That should be fun. ---

I’m ready for some Grimm. Agree about zombie Nick - hope they resolve it quickly. I assume his getting zombified was all part of his plan. ---

Yeah, so… about that plane crash. When the gang is standing there watching the plane take off from the airport, and Juliette tells Renard he has to do something, he says something like “in a few minutes they’ll be over international waters. There’s nothing we can do.” But in the time it takes Baron Samedi to kick back on the plane and light a stogie, and then for Nick to punch his way out of a locked metal box, and then the fight that brings the plane down, they’ve apparently only made it far enough for the plane to crash in a heavily wooded area just a short drive from Portland. :rolleyes: But other than that, I didn’t think it was too bad of an episode. ---

Well, that and the fact that I started giggling helplessly every time zombie Nick came onscreen. Pretty cheesy. I was telling a friend about the ep this morning – he doesn’t watch the show, but is a big “Walking Dead” fan [a show I don’t watch]. “They shouldn’t be stuck with this plotline forever,” I said. “They have a cure for zombie-ism, so all they have to do is catch up with the hero and give him some zombie juice.” I thought his eyes were going to roll out of his head. ---

I wasn’t particularly interested in Zombie Nick either, but I enjoyed the episode more than I expected to. (And I have high hopes for the season, from the spoilers that I’ve been reading!) ---

A plane flying from Portland to Austria is probably not going over international waters anytime soon. It takes a little while to get altitude and get out of dodge. On a private plane, the Baron could light up as soon as they take off. None of those 10,000 feet rules on a private flight. It takes about 20 minutes of flight from LAX, on a commercial jet, to fly out of the greater LA area. Maybe even 30 minutes. This is because you swing out over the ocean then, on my flights, loop back over Rancho Palos Verde, along Orange County, etc. We don’t know exactly how long they were driving, but it’s not totally implausible, especially if the pilots started back toward the airport when the ruckus started in the back. ---

Shirley’s Tippy Canoe is only about 10 miles away from PDX. And it’s good to know that at this point if he kills someone there’ll be no coming back from that. Apparently the rule in Portland is kill 15 people but that’s the limit. ---

Not bad, and I’m glad they’re not going to stretch out the zombie storyline much longer (though I loved the fact that they were using traditional Haitian zombie mythology, like Baron Samedi). But it’s pretty clear they’re moving on from that. The Hexanbeast storyline, OTOH, was tired and draggy. Look, we all knew there was no point in doing it unless Analind gets her powers back, so why stretch it out with that endless ritual? ---

You know, I rather like the fact that the ritual to restore Adalind’s powers is kind of lengthy and complicated. It seems like it ought to take some effort to gain this kind of magical mojo. I mean, I don’t want this to take FOREVER. But I’m glad that she can’t get what she wants by just chanting a few scary-sounding words in a dead language and lighting some potpourri on fire.
