Last Monday, there was a power event here overnight while my computer was doing updates and, somehow, it destroyed my permanent profile. I could only log in with a temporary profile, which meant that I had to set myself up from scratch. When I launched my Chrome browser, I got the welcome screen with the signin option and the laughable checkbox for, “Remember me.” I had to link my data all over again. All my pet desktop icons/shortcuts were gone and I had to rescue them from my network backup. The list goes on. So, after doing all of that, I figured I was good to go. Wrong. Every morning I log in, I’m back to square one. I have to create a new profile all over again because, apparently, my computer didn’t remember that I told it to remember me. My computer is trapped in the tech version of Groundhog Day! :eek: ---
