A somewhat…horrible movie-based request, for a video project of mine: I need suggestions for movie scenes where people are vivisected, disassembled for their body parts, etc. As distinct from, y’know, just a Hockey-masked slasher dismembering people with a weed whacker in a fight scene. Gory is fine, so is animation. But not anything with footage of _actual_ humans being dissected. So far, I’ve got _Parts: The Clonus Horror_ and _The Island_ down as sources, along with a clip from what looks to be the _hilariously_ cheesy _Nazis at the Center of the Earth_, but that’s it. Can any other (presumably) B-movie buffs help me out? ---

_Turistas_ has a scene or two like that, I think. It’s about some American backpackers in Brazil trying to escape the bad guys who want to harvest their organs. ---

If a television show is acceptable, \*\*Justified’\*\*s season 3 has an episode, “Thick as Mud,” that has a pretty wonderful take on this trope, complete with gory visuals. ---

Well, I hate to mention it but there’s also [Men Behind the Sun](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Men_Behind_the_Sun). It supposedly only contains some actual \*autopsy \*footage _staged_ as vivisection. But it also has what appear to be genuine scenes of animal cruelty, so like I said I’d avoid it in general… ---

**Hannibal** and one of the **Saw** s (I think II) have scenes of people slicing parts off living people to eat them. Hannibal Ray Liotta’s brain, and Saw II someone’s leg. Not sure if that’s part of what you’re looking for. ---

The punishment for almost anything in the Cluster society of the TV series Lexx was having all your organs harvested. It forms a major element of the episode “I Worship His Shadow” which is I believe the series opener. There is also a SyFy Channel movie called “Do or Die” in which convicted criminals have their organs harvested live on TV. Interestingly, both movies feature criminals restrained on slabs, from which knives come to remove the appropriate organs. ---

The original M_A_S\*H movie had some pretty vivid surgery scenes. At least, it seemed so at the time. Might look pretty tame by today’s standards. ---

We didn’t actually see the organ harvest in **Lexx** ; we only heard it, then saw the organs on a tray (& everything else dumped into a clear garbage bag to be fed to the Lexx). Not to hijack, but I always wondered what happened if the mind probe reveals the defendant really is innocent of whatever they’ve been charged with. ---

A lot of the Hammer Frankenstein films depicted Peter Cushing’s Dr. Frank handling various organs/body parts in the process of building his creatures. “Island of Lost Souls” (1932) is also a good candidate for this category.
