# Guess who's having a baby!

I’m still pinching myself in case I’m dreaming, but I’m already past 12 weeks, and it sure looks like we’re going to be parents in July! I’ve spent the last couple of months in a bit of a daze, having to remind myself that yes, I’m pregnant, and no, it’s not just a weeks-long bad hangover. Everything is on track for a healthy and sticky pregnancy, so I’m finally allowing myself to be excited about it, after holding back and holding my breath for a while. This little critter is strong and healthy and having a dance party in my uterus, based on what we saw on the ultrasound on Friday. It’s got arms! And legs! And it wiggles!
I’m just so delighted. I know this whole pregnancy and parenting experience will be a hell of a roller coaster, but I’m so _so_ grateful to finally have a chance to ride.
We’ve told our families, but we’re probably going to wait until New Years to go public on Facebook and all that. I just wanted to be sure to tell my Dope family “in person.”

It was definitely a long road. Not as long as some, surely, and I’m fighting a little bit of “survivor’s guilt” because our very first IVF cycle was easier and better than we could possibly have hoped. But yeah, after two and a half years, a loss, and tons of testing and interventions, we’re so happy to finally be here.
