Glad to hear **FCD** is well on the mend. **Taters** , maybe if you g to the courthouse looking and sounding like walking death you’ll get excused. I’m just thinkin. **Lissla** , is this fascination for beating each other up and throwing edged weapons about how you Canadians compensate for not being allowed to have guns? 😃 I have almost the whole day off today! I’m not sure I know how to act. What ever shall I do? ---

For the record, I make yummerrific sketty sauce (3 meals worth in the freezer, one in the fridge) and scrumptious tater soup (half the batch is in the fridge, but I don’t expect it to last past tomorrow. **FCD** is getting along better, but he feels like he’s been recuperating for a month, so he says. It’s been 2 days. It’s gonna be a looooooooong 6 weeks. I got a little nap this morning, but I’m still kinda draggy. I’ll be very surprised if I go back to work on Tues. In fact, if I don’t get a good sleep tonight, I won’t go in before Weds - I figure I need 2 good nights before I’m any good at the office. Thankfully, I’m still new enough in the group that I can be spared. I want pizza. If you MMPers truly loved me, you’d be here within the next hour with a large double-mushroom-extra-cheese pizza. 😃 ---

Attacks Husband also loves guns. The rest of them are only into pointy things. Wait, no- Mr. Lissar got to go shooting with some friends when we were in Arkansas, and he loved it. I’m grateful for Canada’s anti-gun laws, because if Mr. Lissar was allowed to get guns as well as all his other weapons the house would be much more crowded. I want pizza, too. ---

In the last 48 hours, I have eaten one meal, consisting of Mexican food. I know that I _should_ get up and eat something, but I’m not very hungry. I’m going to go meet some friends in a couple of hours to have el dinner, so I’m not going to eat anything right now. Just thought you guys would want to know. ---

It’s been a busyish weekend. Although I’m not sure exactly where yesterday went. Worked at the park where I volunteer and then went shopping. Seems like there should have been more to it. Watched the nephew play soccer today and then checked out the brother’s new digs. (They’re 1 1/2 hours away, so that took a big chunk out of my day…) No one answered **VBob’s** question about tomorrow’s MMP… I’m pretty sure **Draelin** is prepared to step in as guest OP. At least that’s how I interpreted [this post from her.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=6657826&postcount=153) I _do_ know that **swampy** issued a decree in last week’s MMP as to how substitute MMP’ing would work. Glad FCD is doing better. I say you don’t go back to work till Wednesday either way, **FCM**. Don’t want you to catch **Taters’** cold. Hope everyone’s all healthy for the new week and not eaten by chihuahuas. Technically, I don’t have to work tomorrow, but I have a long list of things I haven’t gotten to, so I’m going to have to put in at least a few hours. And then I’m getting my hair cut. GT ---

It’s almost Monday! Where’s the new MMP? I’m reading _The Cornbread Book_, by Jeremy Jackson, and it’s giving me an overpowering urge to make spoonbread. I’ve never had spoonbread before.
