**Bumba** , the soap got here a couple minutes ago. Thank you! The lotion smells wonderful! I’m going to give Quasi-Daughter three bars and keep one. How much should the cheque be for? I have only been drunk enough to throw up once. Upon further thought I wasn’t actually that drunk- I think it was a bad combination. I’ve been more drunk than that and not puked. Not often, though. Driving Husband and Dishes Husband do my drinking for me. :rolleyes: Grocery shopping and cleaning and maybe laundry today. Tonight we’re going to watch a movie! On my new tv! It’s exciting! I watched the second half of _Hero_ yesterday before work. Bad idea. I spent ten minutes trying to make it look like I hadn’t been crying. ---

Ok, I done writ up what I’m gone say tonight. I have decided on short, sweet and to the point but nice. I still don’t wanna do it though. I also just gave a bunch of peole directions to the country club where the doin’s is bein’ held tonight. I even promised to have my cell phone on just in case they get lost. Now all I gotta do is remember to bring the dang thing with me. I think it’s sittin’ on the kitchen counter at my house. Ain’t turned it on in about three or four weeks. Can y’all tell I’m not big on cell phones? Well, phones in general for that matter. Stoopid loud, screechin’ things! ---

This desk has a keyboard tray, so there is plenty of room for her to get between my eyes and the monitor when she decides it is time for a lap nap. I am in slavery to my kitties! Tonight Mr. SCL and I are going to see an exhibit of Anne Frank photos and hear a talk by two children of Holocaust survivors. Should be interesting, since Mr. SCL’s dad was a POW in Germany during WWII. ---

Better late than never? I took yesterday off and my notebook at home isn’t working until I fix it. Which may mean it stays broke…ah, the suspense! **Draelin** I loved the picture of you in that great gown! **Scout** , congrats on your new car-I really like the look of the Prius. I made crockpot chili and a pot roast over the weekend. Both turned out well, and then of course I forgot to bring a container of the chili for lunch at work today. Totally typical. I had some really strange mental pictures when cervical collars were mentioned… ---

National Coming Out Day was awesome… we even had some people from the neighboring Baptist university who came to participate. They said that their dean wouldn’t allow an organization (queer/straight alliance) like we have. That was neat. And I got fondled (well, my eyebrows and hair) and hugged by hot guy who continues to tell me that I’m too young for him. That excited me. He confuses me, though, because he also continues to flirt with me. I think that I’m going to ask him tonight at the QSA meeting why he keeps flirting and denying me at the same time. ---

Aren’t \*\*Bumba’s \*\* soaps and lotions awesome? My favorite so far is the red clover. Very shortly I’ll be calling down to the courthouse to see if I need to report for jury duty again tomorrow. M’kay, I’m back. I forgot to tell all of you about the absolutely scrumptious dinner **Mr. Taters** made on Sunday night. He made Shrimp Scampi Mediterranean. It was awesome, just awesome! I’m not a fan of capers, but this had capers in it and they didn’t faze me a bit. Other ingredients included shrimp, garlic, butter, white wine, lemon juice, green onions, basil, oregano, roasted red bell pepper, italian flat leaf parsley, calamato olives, and…I think that’s it. I may have left something out. He served it with cous cous. Anyway, the dinner was just terrific. Now he’s all ready to make something else this weekend. **Ex,** of _course_ we missed you. We notice the absence of each MMPer, dontcha know that? Sheesh, you should! I have to report back for jury duty tomorrow. I’m sure my boss is just frothing by now. I called his office this morning at 6:00 am to leave a voice mail and let him know that I wouldn’t be in due to jury duty. He was there and when I told him that I couldn’t come in because I was still on jury duty, he didn’t sound happy…at…ALL. What can I do? If I don’t show, I’m cited for contempt of court. Unless I get stuck on a trial that runs past this Friday, my tour of duty will be up on Friday. Monday, it’ll be back to work as per usual. I’m not real thrilled about that. I’m sure I’ll spend the next month catching up the two weeks I’ve missed. Guess I better think about din-din now. ---

Stupid boots! They were entirely comfortable last year and today they nearly killed me. After the meeting I actually had to take them off and go barefoot. This is not good, especially around here where spitting on the sidewalk is your _duty_ and at least two people I know had that flesh-eating virus last year or so. I’ve scrubbed the top layer of skin off my feet and anti-bacteria’d everything, so no culture from me. Aaah for the days of my youth when I went everywhere barefoot, three seasons of the year, and didn’t get so much as the sniffles. Which reminds me-- there’s big stuff happening at work. Maybe. Actually there’s nothing going on, forget I said anything. Did I say something about work? Not me! [sup]The grey wolf howls at midnight, pass it on.[/sup] Well **Donkey** , if that guy were me, I was just being friendly and pretend flirting. Perhaps he’s testing the waters and such. Plus driving you nuts is probably fun. Flirting and then denying, he gets his cake and a taste of it too. Or none of the above. Hey, I think I have one of those clamps with a stud, but I just called it a thingey. “Attach that thingey to the sticky-outie doo-bop,” I’d say in a very professional manner. Also **Bumba** , I second **Ex** in the whole getting a website deal. Besides red clover (in a bar?) do you have anything slightly citrusey and sorta herbaley, without smelling manly, or girly, either? L’Occitane has practically stopped making my favorite and a replacement would be the bee’s knees. You’re _still_ on jury duty **Taters**? 'Cause if you’re still having to go in, no wonder folks grumble about jury duty. Oregon is different from California, yeppers. Apply that Nutella sparingly **taxi** – you don’t want to go into a diabetic coma before you’re finished. So **swampy** , how’d it go? In school we learned that the key to successful speech-making is brevity and the other parts are a snap for sure. I’m guessing it therefore went so well they’re going to have another award ceremony and give you a speechification award. What do all of you do with those plaques? Mine just sit in a box with all the other certificates and diplomas, and I don’t recall ever seeing one displayed in a person’s home. Strictly for offices and trophy cases around here, it seems. Certificates are better than plaques because they take less space and you can’t do anything with a plaque, not even make a birdhouse. ---

I hate it when shoes change personalities between seasons. I had sandals that did that to me one year. First year they were my favorites. Wore them practically every day. There may even have been a second good year. Then I put them on for the first time one summer and I almost slipped and fell. They’d gotten all slippery and were too loose and just didn’t work any more. This made me sad. Exciting first working day of the week. Didn’t get nearly the stuff done that I’d planned to. This is not a shock. Key employee on vacation ALL WEEK and another one got engaged over the weekend. This reduces our getting-stuff-doneness significantly. **Ashes** - we have had quite enough big stuff in the MMP recently; tell the school it needs to wait its turn. Except you didn’t say anything about work. [sup]The brown cow will be asleep at midnight.[/sup] Allow me to third the **Bumba** website request. (Haven’t we done this before?) **Taters** isn’t the first to mention the red clover. I will have to order it with my repeat order of lavender and grapefruit/oatmeal. Anyhoo…went to the movies tonight and saw _In Her Shoes_; chick flick, but actually pretty good, I thought. After months where my reaction to all the movies that were out was “Meh…” there are actually several out or about to be out that I want to see.
