How come [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=313012) guest has a post count and location?

There’s already a discussion going about that doper’s name and the fact that they are asking (the admins) for it to be changed. It must be fecking about with the software somehow. And the post count is a side-effect.

Because if we could get his name to render correctly it would show that he subscribed already, he’s a member.

When we changed his name, it all popped into place.
