Oh - didn’t see your parenthetical. Yeah, whatever works is really best. For me, I really work on my right hand on an acoustic - whether it is strumming, arpeggiating or low-end chunking, I find that once I can sell it well on an acoustic, I improve my electric playing, but not nearly as much vice-versa. For me it is just like putting a weight on a bat when you’re on deck - the heavier-gauge strings and the obligation to drive that top and move some air to make sound lines up well my my style. I dig in, with an aggressive attack, as we have discussed before…
Ordered the Honeytone, and I have to say, that Dano is a nice guitar. Amazing part - Attacklad has been hanging it up when he’s done with it.
I’ll post an update when the whole kit is together and he has learned a riff or two.
Promised Update:
Attacklad is taking lessons on the Dano, and seems to be enjoying it - he’s practicing without significant cattle-prodding. The Honeytone is a nice mini-amp, and gives a fairly clean tone, but can be greatly grunged up and distorted.
I’ve been stealing the guitar when he’s at school, and enjoying it a hell of a lot as well.
Thanks for all the advice, guys.
