[Gulf Quake around 11am Sept 10](http://www.cnn.com/2006/TECH/science/09/10/gulf.quake/) Anyone in the Southeast feel it? I felt it–what a weird feeling–but our house is on stilts and sometimes sways a teeny bit if it is windy outside, so I wasn’t all that alarmed. Then I find out I’d been in a 6.0 'quake. Yikes. ---

When my Dad mentioned it, I was **certain** he got the “Florida” part wrong. But the epicenter was offshore. My Mom is down there, visting my Brother, Sister, Brother-in-law, & my Niece. ---

My LCD-Monitor started to shake but i didn’t feel any vibrations myself. First i thought it was anomaly caused by subwoofer but later i found thread about it in other forum. ---

I was actually on the beach at the time of the quake, but didn’t feel it at all. Only heard about it a few hours ago. ---

People as far away as Atlanta felt it and I live in an area close to the epicenter and I felt nothing. The earth didn’t move for me! Dangitall! ---

We felt it here; very slight, but certainly noticeable. If you checked the map link, I’m right in the middle of that group of reports from east central Alabama. ---

I was about to start a thread on the earthquake, because I felt it, but could not find anything about it on the news or not. Everyone I know thought I was starting to go crazy. I live in Carrollton, Ga, and I felt it! BTW: This is my first official post as a SDMB member. I guess I am finally paying for my share of the bandwidth.
