A local gun store and range held a manufacturers’ show this weekend, so I decided to attend. You got to try the gun of your choice (I tried a S&W .45 semi), no gun rental, no range fee! Twenty bucks got me fifty rounds, rented eye and ear protection. Had a <heh!> blast. Particularly interesting was that I was in the rifle range (I guess because the .45 is a larger round) and the lane next to me was for people trying the .50 cal rifle. I asked why their target was a human outline and not an APC, and got a big laugh.
