I don’t care about most people who don’t own guns, it’s the ones who don’t own guns and thus think no one should own guns that are the problem. Just like the religious who quietly go to church on Sunday don’t bother me, but the ones who try to legislate morality do.
If people who don’t own guns don’t care, why do they keep trying to outlaw them?
Obama and Biden are known to be the kind who think no one should own guns, and now they have the power to push legislation to make all of us conform to their ideals.
Really? Buy more guns like crazy? I mean…you didn’t buy them when they were available, but you’ll run out there and get them now that there’s a glimmer of a gun control law out on the distant horizon?
If people want guns, that’s fine, but it’s just this mad dash for them that apparently exists that’s a little worrying. Really? You’re not trying to save your cash? You want to max out your credit cards on guns?
During the Clinton gun ban, “hi-cap” magazines (which are actually standard capacity for the weapon) were restricted, you could only buy existing ones, no new ones could be made available. A magazine for a Glock 17 was like $75, after Bush let the stupid ban expire, they went down to $20 like they should have been.
And if I want a Remington 870 shotgun in the next few years, why not buy it now before it gets banned for having some “evil” feature like a pistol grip or tube extension?
Bush let the ban expire? I could be wrong, but I seem to recall Bush saying that he would sign an extension if Congress passed it, but the idea never got traction in the legislature.
A stripped lower for an AR costs about $100, 20 round magazines cost $13. It’s not (or doesn’t have to be) a credit card maxing proposition. If the up and coming ban is similar to the last one, anything owned before that will be grandfathered. I’m sure I don’t have to explain why that’s desirable.
Besides, Christmas is coming up & I haven’t bought a gun since April.
For an AR, the lower counts as the “gun” right? So you could build it any time after the ban to your liking? (If it goes down like last time)
If there is a hi-cap ban, I’m a little worried about proving when mine were made. I mean, they all came from a warehouse in Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, etc., so they could have been made any time between 1950ish and a week or so ago. There’s no date stamps or markings or anything.
I found the gun boards a bit amusing today; in one thread multiple people would be talking about just having ordered as much as $10K worth of ammo, guns, and mags, and then in the next thread would be bitching about the companies raising prices all of a sudden seemingly without considering the two might be related.
I don’t particularly like or dislike Obama. However, I do deeply loathe Joe “Peckerhead” Biden. In order to “celebrate” his election I gave my C&R license a little exercise last night. Later today, a M1895 Nagant revolver, a hex-receiver 1891 Mosin-Nagant rifle(with bayonet), and an extra magazine for my Tokarev pistol shoould all be delivered right to my door. All for a total expenditure, including shipping, of about $200.
Even with ol’ Peckerhead only a heartbeat from being POTUS, this is still the greatest country in the world.
I can’t figure out if you’re being sarcastic or not. Technically true, but so incredibly untrue at the same time. Keeping his “sweet little over/under” while prohibiting others the right to use the firearm they enjoy is indicative not only of high ranking politicians but of Fudds in general.
