Ah, astroturfing. As done by idiots. Naturally the Wonkette writer was credulous enough—let’s give them the benefit of the doubt—to assume this group was representative of anyone other than themselves. Which five minutes research would have shown the author. Just a silly group of people all around. @LSLGuy, AIUI, the etymology of ‘boogaloo boi’, comes from it being a play on words with the idea of the American Civil War, and the movie, “Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo.” A sequel that was horrible, ridiculous, and more importantly, no one wanted to see it or have it happen at all. Just like Civil War 2 would be. I would not characterize the idea as having white nationalist/supremacist roots at all. ---
