I’ve voted every day except one so far. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. How soon will you know the results of the voting when the final date rolls around? ---

Voted again. **burpo** - Drago’s doing wonderfully. The mobile vet dropped by yesterday to give me my rabies tags/licenses, which he didn’t give on Friday when he did the shots, because he was running late. He said he thought Drago looked like he was making a good recovery, and to call him on Monday if he was not 100%. (I don’t use the mobile vet for real issues, though. He comes out for horse issues and shots, but I use my small animal vet for illnesses/injuries.) Annie (rescue doberman) got her stitches removed (mammary tumor removal), the vet thought she looked fabulous, and says he doesn’t know how she keeps pulling herself back from the brink of death/major surgery without a care. Last year Annie ate 10 lbs of Reese’s PB cups and was so close to death the vet said to either let him euthanize her, or take her home to die. Two days later she walked out on her own power. 7 months ago she had GDV, where her stomach twisted in her gut and she had to have emergency surgery and lost 1/3 of her stomach. He didn’t know if she’d live, but she proved him wrong. She’s been the most expensive free dog I’ve ever had. StG ---

Will keep on voting as long as Gunnar is in the running. I got the PM, hey, anybody could have a misunderstanding. Let us know what will happen next if Gunnar makes the cut on May 6. It’s no chore to press a button once a day. ---

(Ms) **Baker** , thanks for hanging in there. **GusNSpot** , as always, thnx. A PM awaits you. **StG** , that’s boffo news about **Drago**. 10 LBs of PB cups? That beats my wife’s record by 4 1/2 lbs! 😃 A PM awaits you, as well. No worries. Special SD Award to **shunpiker** , who contributed a Benjamin to the Gunnar’s Wheels Foundation GoFundMe account. Too 🆒! Speaking of which, here’s a video of **Miss Sally** in Iowa (mentioned this past Saturday), modeling her new wheels. Like a duck to water. 🙂 ---

Well, while **Mister Purple Finger** is angling to be the next Bond villain, here’s some updates: Picture of **Hershey** from Wisconsin, a four year old French Bulldog–looking for a home (hint); and video of **Chato** , a brindled Boxer, moving right along and planning his escape route, from the looks of it. ---

Allow me– Round 1 voting ends May 3, 2017 (tomorrow) at: Noon, Pacific time, 1:00 PM Mountain time, 2:00 PM Central time and 3:00 PM Eastern time (Hey, _I_ needed it written out). So excited am I! **GusNSpot** , Shirley Bassey is still alive! Maybe we can get her to sing your **Mister Purple Finger** theme song for your upcoming 007 film. 😃 ---

Coming down to the wire for Round 1. You Dopers have really pulled through; take a bow! Got a video of **Elinor** from Alabama, tearing around the rescue HQs. That purple dinosaur is a bad influence (or a not-so-hot navigator/lookout). Keep fingers crossed! Thanks for participating! You’ve helped dogs; feels good, yes?
