Father with 5 children. 4 boys, 1 girl 3 of the 4 boys usually have beards - 2 always have. One never has. Father also has a beard now. Used to only do the moustache in the past. He was kind of badass and waxed his moustache into curls on the end. He quit when I was about 4 years old and it was a little sad. He’s a gun collector, hunter, and trap shooter. He has two gun safes and about 50 guns. At least half of them are rare. One of them has an octagonal barrel. It’s neat stuff. Two of my brothers (the ones that always have beards) regularly hunt still and own their own guns. All of us have gone hunting and fishing as children though. As a woman, if I could grow a proper beard, I would. Considered getting one of those hats with the crochet beards attached. ---

I have a beard and my dad does not own a gun. In fact I doubt he’s even handled one, let alone shot one. On the other hand my mum has pistol. I remember watching the episode, but don’t remember much about that comment, but I doubt his poll was in any way scientific. ---

I wonder if it is true for the selected sub-population of “men who come to Sederis book signings”? (Beard, Dad did not have a gun since he was in the army. He had a moustache.) ---

I’m a girl and my father (who occasionally, but not often had a beard) owned guns. Now I own them. ---

I had a beard for many years, and now I’ve not had one in many years. Either way, my father never had a gun. Actually, in his later years, he had a beard. And I don’t think his father had a gun. ---

I THINK he owns a gun–but it’s in storage and never used. I know he used to own one, as I remember finding out about it. I’ve worn at least a goatee ever since I could, as I don’t like how my underbite makes my chin look. ---
