Meh, one of the morning DJ’s here has played snippets of tracks supposedly off of Chinese Democracy, and they were pretty good too, but the thing it that they may have waited too long. Axl’s Guns and Proprietary Rights To The Name isn’t the real thing anymore than the others playing in Velvet Temple Pilots is. Nothing less than a full blown reunion will work, and that’s never going to happen with this group of people. ---

Well I think that’s a newsworthy story because Gn’R remains wildly popular even this long after their demise. Honestly I think they called it quits at the right time, preventing some potentially cred destroying albums in the 90’s. ---

It won’t be G N’ R even if it has the name. It will be an Axl Rose solo album ten years late. It might even be good but I don’t think anyone will really consider it to be a Guns N’ Roses album. I’m a little intrigued that Axl has apparently been talking to Izzy, though, since he was one of the key songwriters for _Appetite for Destruction_ and the _Use Your Illusion_ albums. . The orginal members of the band are all still alive so a reunion is always a theoretical possibility. They could make a shitload of money, that’s for sure. ---

Sure, I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ll bet we’ll see real Chinese Democracy before we do _Chinese Democracy_. Oh, and Michael Jackson’s charity single for Katrina will be out any day now. ---

The Metallica “Behind the Music” or whatever, where James Hetfield got burned or something? And the concert was almost going to be cancelled, and all G ‘n’ R needed to do was come out and rock the house? And instead Axl through a hissy and the crowd instead broke into a riot? G ‘n’ R? Meh. I heard a song the other day that quite obviously Axl Rose, but I can’t think what the lyrics are right now…it was pretty good. ---

I recently got my hands on a copy of “Guns & Roses Unplugged” which seems to be an Italian bootleg release. It has GnR acoustic sessions at 2 different clubs. The first performance seemed to be before GnR Lies came out. Excellent album, great quality and it’s cool to hear the songs in acoustic format. They held up really well unplugged. I hope Guns comes back, and I hope they hit hard. None of the pansy epic cinematic shit. ---
