# Gunshots in  the night

I’ll second that. I have a friend who was on a balcony in SE DC with a tape recorder on New Year’s. You can hear just about every type of gun you care to imagine going off.

(gonna show my age)

…was walking thru DC one Friday afternoon. Walked by GWU emergency room, about half the ambulances and police cars were out there. Thought a plane went down at National. Got to a bar/sandwich place on M, big crowd around TV. Asked a guy what was up. Yup, Reagan had just been shot. Asked “Did they take him to GW?” He said yes, and gave me a VERY strange look…

P.S. The emergency pavilion at GW and National Airport are now both named after RR.
