TNAI Mrs. Plant and I are watching an episode of Gunsmoke with Strother Martin. Does Miss Kitty put her makeup on with a Dremel tool? ---

My parents used to watch reruns of Gunsmoke and it always bothered me that the show was written as though Miss Kitty was attractive. ---

Amanda Blake played Kitty for 20 years (even longer if you count her beginning on radio.) By the time they got around to filming the show in color she needed cosmetic assistance. ---

She was portrayed as older at the end of the series. And back then, TV was a lot smaller and fuzzier for most people, so it wasn’t as noticeable. The big topic about Miss Kitty was her profession, which they had to dance around on early TV. ---

Georgia Ellis did the role on radio. Amanda Blake did the role on tv. some stories were done both on radio and tv. no actors were in common between radio and tv.
