43 years old here. As soon as I read the German line, I was reminded of the Def Leppard song. I hate that song. ---

I’ve heard both of those songs, but the phrase is unfamiliar to me. I’m not very good with lyrics in general, though. ---

Def Leppard. Actually, my favorite song by them. While I prefer The Offspring to DL, I can’t stand PFFAWG. ---

I don’t know any song that uses that phrase, so the first that came to my mind was “John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt”. ---

I have no idea. I’m well familiar with both songs, altho I haven’t heard either one in I don’t know when. And I recognize the phrase, tho damned if I can remember where I heard it. Reason suggests it must’ve been those songs, obviously. Just don’t remember. Maybe it helps that I didn’t know there were G’s in that phrase? ---

52, Def Leppard And I’ve never ever heard of John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt. No kids. So I did a Google search. And if that is what you are forced to listen to with kids, Im fine with missing out on that.😛 ---

Def Leppard, 46. Who the heck are “The Offspring”? And, get off my lawn! I know, it’s time to retire that overused phrase. Sorry, I couldn’t think of a better way to express “I’m old and I don’t care!”. ---
