I have to pee sitting down, because my doctor told me not to be lifting anything heavy. ---

I almost always sit at home, because then I don’t have to clean the toilet as often. Anywhere else, I usually stand. ---

At night, when I’m just getting up, or if I’m otherwise exhausted, I’ll sit. Mostly otherwise, I stand. On an unrelated note: my three year old is curious about many things including, of course, human anatomy. That includes the difference between boys and girls. One day some months ago (while she was on the potty, as it happens), she said “Daddy, you’re a boy. Do you have that long thing?” Uh, I’ve had no complaints. –Cliffy ---

Standing vs. Sitting depends entirely on if I want to smoke while doing so. If I’m just in the place to pee, It’s always standing up. It’s just quicker and easier. But if I want to enjoy a cigarette at the same time - sitting is the way to go. ---

The last time we did this, one poster got really upset and seemed to consider any man sitting down to pee a slight on his (the poster’s) own manhood. Who was that? Someone alert him to this one. That was fun to read. ---

Always pee sitting down. Then again, _everything_ is sitting down, so I guess my vote’s pretty much a wash. 😛 ---

I just don’t get empty when I sit (while dumping). This was a real problem when I was in the hospital with my broken ankle in a partial cast with ice on it (in order to operate to insert a metal rod, they had to make the swelling go down or they couldn’t have closed the incision). The bed ended up more-or-less urine-soaked as it would dribble out after I done all could into the pan. ---

Another vote for sitting at home at night in the dark. Quick, easy, and makes for fewer mistakes & less cleaning. Obviously while one sits for #2 one gets in a #1 at the same time. (Although … Ref comments upthread, perhaps \*\*Dio \*\*doesn’t.) At all other times I stand. ---

Since I have a Prince Albert, I always sit to pee at home. When I’m using a public restroom with a urinal, I will stand and use the urinal. It has to do with directional control over distances due to the jewelry causing the stream to divert a bit. Haha.
